Guess What Elmo's Thinking about Today?
The two star players from Aesop's Fable "The Tortoise and the Hare" arrive on Elmo's doorstep to illustrate fast and slow.
Dorothy wants to know how to dance fast.
The Noodle Family
Mr. Noodle wears a special hat to dance fast and slow.
Kids and Baby
Kids in a playground dance fast and even Baby's mother helps Baby dance.
Elmo counts fourteen fast horses and one slow snail.
Worms go very slow, unless they are Slimey driving his sports car.
Ingrid and Humphrey email Elmo a video of Baby Natasha crawling fast. But Natasha starts out slow and they don't think she's going to do it, then Natasha goes faster and faster and faster and faster each time she turns around and goes the other way when she's crossed the screen. Ingrid and Humphrey watch her. Soon Natasha goes so fast that Ingrid and Humphrey almost lose their heads!
Elmo's friend Dayanna tells Elmo about how she received roller skates as a hand-me-down from her sister.
The Fast and Slow Channel airs stories of the kingdoms of Fast and Slow.
The tortoise and the hare begin to tell fast and slow versions of their story.
Tickle Me Land
Tickle Me land finishes the tale with Elmo in the lead roles. Elmo Tortoise defeated Elmo Hare in the race and the moral of the story is, "Slow and steady wins the race" but Elmo Hare insisted that the moral should be, "You snooze, you lose!"
